The Murat Palace is an elegant hotel realized from the restoration of the ancient palace of Napoleon's brother-in-law, Murat, who ruled the Kingdom of Naples in the late 1700's.  The oldest part of the Palazzo was built in the Neapolitan baroque style that honours early Roman style but adds unique  embellishments and ornamentations. 

Both the old and new parts of the hotel are beautiful. The furnishings are of the period, the colouring is gentle and soft, the views are breathtaking and the serenity enthuses calmness to all who go there. During the summer the patio offers the perfect scenery for the concerts of classical music which often take place.

The interiors are richly furnished with antiques and period furniture which give the hotel a distinct character different than other hotels in the area.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the main pedestrian areas, surrounded on the seaward side by magnificent botanical gardens.  Guests have easy access to the beach, and the hotel staff will assist with excursions to other parts of the Amalfi peninsula, and even with coastal cruises.
