This beautiful and multifarious region extends from the eye-popping Italian Alps on Switzerland's northern border, through the low fertile agricultural zones along the River Po, and to the rugged terrain of Liguria and northern Tuscany on its southern flank.  The slopes of the rolling hillsides of the Langhe are dotted with vineyards and olive groves that produce some of the finest wines and oils of Italy.  You'll taste it all on this incredible tour.

Day 1: Arrival in Milan

  • Afternoon: Transfer from Milan Airport to Asti

  • Afternoon: Asti Guided Tour

    We will travel to Asti for a guided tour of the town. The elliptical shaped medieval centre is made up of narrow streets where you can see fortified houses and tower ruins. Significant changes were made to the town during the Baroque period and in the 18th century.

  • Evening: Langhe Welcome Dinner Party

Day 2: Langhe Region

  • Morning: Alba Guided Tour

    A visit to the fascinating medieval old town of Alba, the capital of the Langhe, with its historic centre rich in towers, fortified buildings and Romanesque and Gothic monuments.

     

  • Afternoon: At Leisure

Day 3: Turin

  • Morning: Turin Guided Tour

    The mountain setting of Turin alone is worth the journey. Turin is a real city in all senses of the word, a great city ringed by a continuous backdrop of mountains and hills.

Day 4: Langhe Region

  • Morning:  Castle of Grinzane Cavour

    Visit to the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, the majestic manor which belonged to the famous statesman Camillo Benso. The Piemont wine cellar of Cavour is located inside the majestic Castle. The cellar has gained a well-deserved reputation as an excellent show-case for regional wine and grappa.
     

  • Afternoon: Serralunga Castle and Wine Tasting Guided visit to the fortress of Serralunga; one of the most beautiful castles in the province of Cuneo because of its imposing architectonic style. We will also visit a local winery for a fine wine tasting experience.

 

Day 5: Acqui Terme, 3 nights

  • Morning: Acqui Terme Guided Tour

    Situated on the left bank of the Bormida, Acqui Terme is a thermal town and unquestionably the most elegant locality of the entire province.

  • Afternoon: At Leisure

Day 6: Ovada Area

  • Castles Itinerary

    Ovada is the focal point of a circular itinerary linking the villages of Molare, Cremolino, Prasco, Morsasco, Trisobbio, and Orsara Bormida.  This area is filled with Castles and other medieval structures.

  • Wine Itinerary and Tasting

    Visit to a local winery. We will pass through the villages of Montaldo Bormida, Carpeneto, Roccagrimanda, Tagliolo Monferrato and Belforte Monferrato. Strevi is a municipality with a strongly committed to making wine and is famous for a historical type of Muscatel wine.

Day 7

  • Morning: Alessandria Citadel Guided Tour

    The Citadel was built in the ex-district of Borgoglio, after the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713, when Alessandria passed from the dominion of Spain to the one of the House of Savoy.
