  Founded in 1880, with the name "Trattoria Alloggio Belvedere", the Hotel has always been owned by the Martinelli Manoni family. Generation after generation, it has been run with a sense of hospitality which has become a tradition.

Back then the Hotel had only two floors and was known as "La Vignetta" because of the grape vines which surrounded it.  In time, the park was created with its many plants and terraces leading down to the lake.

It is enchanting, as Stendhal wrote, "It is a place whose beauty is not exceeded even by the Bay of Naples, the most famous in the world".  For over a century hospitality has been a family tradition for us.   You will notice it right from the instant you arrive, along with the poetical magic of this corner of the lake and its elegant tranquillity.
