This tour is an interesting and evocative excursion through the countryside of the Chianti area with an ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees. Upon arrival in Siena we will have free time for lunch followed by a guided visit of this truly magnificent medieval city. Admire the Cathedral with the Piccolomini Library, the Opera Metropolitana Museum, Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe and the Town Hall. Time at leisure to explore San Gimignano, a tiny city that has remained intact through the centuries. The city is situated on the top of a hill and is famous for its numerous towers, frescos and other art treasures. During the return journey we will see the old medieval village of Monteriggioni enclosed by its famous walls which are still intact.
