Florence is surrounded by serenely picturesque hills clad in olive groves, vineyards and cypresses. High up on one of these hills, to the southeast of the city, is Casa Vallecchio.  Before even starting to list the wonders of its completely renovated interior, this house’s particular hilltop location allows it to steal an unprecedented march on its rivals - what better way to start the day than a dip in the fabulous pool, followed by a leisurely breakfast in the shaded poolside pergola, with a view of Florence’s Duomo in the distance? Use of the pool and gardens is shared with the very friendly owners who live in an independent part of the house. Up to four guests therefore have the use of the remaining, and very spacious, other parts. The owners will happily advise about the many delightful walks to be taken in the surrounding hills, as well as other enjoyable diversions, such as horse-riding.

Location
Antella, at four kilometers, is the nearest town with shops, banks etc. While Florence, at thirteen kilometers, is very conveniently reached by car or, better still, leave the car and catch one of the three or four buses per hour that make the 20 minute journey to the city centre. Access to the property is via a four kilometer drive that is narrow and winding in parts. The swimming pool is 12m x 4m.

Layout
From the outdoor parking area, a short flight of steps lead up to an elevated covered terrace which is furnished for (shared) outdoor dining, has a big barbecue and of course a stupendous view. From here, the second door along is the front door in to a long beamed sitting room. Immediately left is a large dining room and kitchen area equipped with fridge/freezer, hob and double sink unit, and another door out to the terrace. Through the arch in the sitting room is one very large double/twin bedded room with walk-in wardrobe, en-suite shower room, WC etc and a low door out to a rear patio area. One very spacious double bedded room with open fireplace and window with spectacular views. One large shower room, WC etc. Use of the owner’s washing machine is on request.
