General
The proprietors of La
Madonnina live on the ground
floor of this spacious
building so guests are
assured that everything,
including the thoughtfully
laid, terraced gardens are
kept in pristine condition.
The vistas over the Val di
Chio are spectacular and can
be enjoyed from most of the
windows in the two first
floor apartments for rental.
Location
Extremely attractive and
comfortable furnishings
adorn the apartments that
have autonomous, outside
steps at different sides of
the house. The fabulous
swimming pool is just below
the house and has a
waterfall cascading down
rocks into the pool creating
a pleasant sight and sound.
Here too is a gazebo for
shade from the mid-day sun.
Screens have been placed at
all the windows except the
bathrooms and the bedrooms
have ceiling fans. Each
apartment has its own
terrace and there is a
laundry room on site. Within
600 metres is a small
grocery store although the
town of Castiglion
Fiorentino is but 4
kilometres distant with
shops for every requirement.
It is an interesting and
attractive town with several
fine churches and an
important art gallery. This
area, flanked to one side by
the Pratomagno mountain
range and on the other by
the Alpe di Catenia, is one
of the most attractive in
Tuscany and is a brilliant
position for exploring
Umbria as well as Tuscany.
Layout
From an
enormous, furnished cotto
terrace, steps lead to the
entrance into a very
attractive, spacious and
comfortable sitting room
with a raised, open
fireplace. The kitchen/diner
has cooker, oven and
fridge/freezer. Upstairs is
a spacious double-bedded
room, a twin bedded room and
a shower room with WC etc.
