building near the owners
villa, Lo Strettoio has been

pleasant accommodations, one
ground floor and one on the
first floor. Creative design
has allowed for the original
features to be reserved and
the furnishings are modern.
There is a laundry room with
washing machine for the use
of guests and bicycles are
available at no extra cost.
A spacious, furnished
terrace is used by both
apartments and has a large
sun shade. A swimming pool
is also available for guests

Location
The building is one
kilometer from San Gusme and
3 kilometers from the
agricultural town of
Castelnouvo Berardenga where
there are the remains of a
14th century castle. Both
places have shops and banks,
although San Gusme is
smaller. This is the heart
of Chianti country, full of
ancient, medieval castles
and fortified residences.
The road which tours the
wine route passes through
many vineyards and olive
groves and many of them
offer direct sales to the
public. Siena, city of
steep, medieval alleys
surrounding the Piazza del
Campo is approximately 23
kilometers away. Florence
can be reached in a one hour
drive.
