The history of this little hamlet dates back to the year 1000 and it is a truly unrivalled location. All the buildings have been restructured to make individually owned homes. It would have been a tragedy if it had been ruined but every effort was made, using the right materials to complement all the original features, so that the character was not lost. And it has immense character of its own - poised as it is above the most substantial and spectacular vistas.

Location
Beside the large swimming pool is a small, children’s pool, and these are open between 1st June and 15th September. Both are proportionately distanced from the apartments to ensure against noise. A tennis court is on a lower level from the pool. Nothing has been overlooked for guests’ comforts in the furnishings and fittings which are of a high standard. 12 kms equidistant are Siena and Castellina in Chianti and 2 kms away is a lovely lake and park. Florence is approximately 45 minutes by road and throughout this splendid Chianti Classico region are many excellent restaurants.
