Near Sansepolcro, on the
opposite side of the Tiber
Valley, is the fine old town
of Anghiari, perched on a
’balcony’ 9 kilometers away.
For day trips to Florence,
Siena, or even Rome, the
station at Arezzo is just
over 30 minutes away. The
English owners chose La
Ripa’s location very wisely
because, close by Anghiari,
hidden down a 6 kilometers
long, well-kept road (to
ensure total privacy), is
their beautifully secluded
property. Once arrived, the
feeling of peace and
coolness makes for a
wonderful welcome and a
comfortable stay. This
thanks to its altitude and
natural shadiness, provided
by the thousands of trees
that encircle it.
Location
Inside and out, this
spacious individual
farmhouse has been renovated
from top to bottom to the
highest standards ensuring
that all fixtures and
fittings are of the best
quality. The new swimming
pool is furnished, with a
hammock, and is 10m x 5m and
2.50m deep x 1.20m at the
shallow end. It is located
down from the house in the
terraced olive groves,
overlooking a wooded valley,
and is reached by uneven
steps so unsuitable for very
small or infirm clients.
